John,

Yes, the Austron 2100 receivers need a frequency input. Typically these 
units would operate with one of their disciplined standards in a closed loop 
config. They had a neat two input unit, so you could have a primary and 
secondary reference. Can't remember the model number. I do remember selling 
a system based on two 2100F and disciplined F standard to a Norwegian 
company back in the mid 80's for work on one of the Oil platforms.
