[time-nuts] ntpd not talking to gpsd

Is your unit getting enough signal to get locked on to several satellites?


Look at the raw NMEA output.  Or try the NMEA refclock driver in ntpd.  (You 
will have to kill the gpsd server so ntpd can get the serial port or you can 
get it with cat.)

The GPRMC record has an A for good and a V for bad.  Even the bad stuff may 
give you a time stamp.  (Details vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.)

ntpd ignores the V records.

Here are a couple of examples.

$GPRMC,013225,A,3726.0916,N,12212.1975,W,000.1,146.5,020408,015.2,E*6A

$GPRMC,013332,V,3726.0807,N,12212.2059,W,,,020408,015.2,E*78
