I'm not so sure about that. There are quite a few of us time nuts that
own 20 plus year old 5065As that are still performing as well as the day
they were built. Darkening?
Peter, if you are serious then keep an eye on the sky, or rather on
eBay, they do turn up from time to time in the US at sensible prices,
but in the UK I have no idea. I was lucky maybe in that the seller
thought there were bits missing from mine because there was a hole where
the clock option would have gone... But I'm sure I wasn't the only one
to know what it was.
And the original poster had obviously been trawling through the -hp-
list and e-mailing directly everyone who seemed to own one before coming
to this list, as if anyone who cherishes these as much as we do would
even think about parting with one :^)
