I'm looking for documentation on two HP boards that are part of a module.

The frame is labeled 05061-6168 and has an 10811-60109 oscillator, a board

labeled 05061-6199 61003F and a second board labeled 05061-6198 61103F.

Both boards are labeled “Series 2552”. The first board (6199) and the oscillator

plug into the second board (6198).

With the 6199 board this looks like a drop-in replacement for the older oscillator.

(I have a 00105-6013 Crystal oven assembly.)

The only 5061 manuals I find on the web use the old oscillator module.

On ke5fx 's page (http://www.ke5fx.com/norton.htm) I found “HP 0105-6100

assembly schematic” http://www.thegleam.com/ke5fx/norton/ocxo_assy.pdf.

Close, but it's for the 105, not the 5061, and the boards are physically very different.

I'm building a GPSDO and want a 10 MHz output. I would like to find documentation

on the 6198 board and replace the 6199 board with my own.

The part number on the connector for the board is the same as the connector for

the 10811. Does anyone know where to get boards that fit the connector? Mouser

carries the connector, but I can't find any boards.

If I use the mounting frame I have easy access to the mechanical tuning control, but

how often do people need to retune the 10811? I have a pair of the 10811-60109's,

another 10811, and a 10544 and all are within 1 Hz of 10 MHz. That's close enough

for the EFC in a GPSDO.

Is there any advantage in using the 723 voltage regulator? The 10811 and 10544

manuals both show the use of the 723 for the regulator for the oscillator supply, but

on the HP schematic for the 6198 board they use a pair of three terminal regulators.

Thanks

Robert, ka3zyx
