[time-nuts] PPS on Ubuntu server 20.04 LTS

Still wrestling with the PPS configuration part-time. The command ppscheck
/dev/ttyS0 is showing data. For example, in case the attached png doesn't
come through,

1619198834.978414170 TIOCM.CTS

But in chrony sources, the PPS is still not showing up as a source - (?)
next to the entry. Any ideas on what else to check? TIA
