Hi folks,
I recently gambled on a 5061A on the auction site. I got veeeeeery lucky
and the unit arrived undamaged and with a good FOM functional beam tube. It
has a FTS7105 tube in it. It was scuzzy inside and took a while to pump
down, but the ion pump current now goes to zero. It locks up and works just
fine. I was able to procure a 6144 DC version of the oven controller, and
was hoping for some guidance on swapping out the AC for it. It appears
there are some select at test type resistors. Also I don't know if the OEM
tube and the FTS tube have same thermistor characteristics, or oven temp.
The tube label shows none of this info, its possible that data is affixed
to the side facing the deck?

Also interested in preventative maintenance guidance if anyone cares to
spare it. Old caps and such.

On an aside, i just ordered a stack of 5 copies of the beaglebone black
carrier board to upgrade my 5370B. I'll have 4 spares (unpopulated). If
anyone wants one, let me know off-list at tannerpa at gmail. Ill let them
go for $20ea.
