I is a boat navigation receiver that used a 20 MHz TCXO.

I was an Electronics tech on submarines, specialty navigation subsystem.
Shortly before I retired, they upgraded the nav system to remove the 
WPN-3 LORAN receiver and replaced it with a BRN-5 LORAN sensor.
With this we only required two station to get a fix.
While inport we tracked LORAN C and determined a drift rate for our 
cesium standards.
With the known drift rate of the LORAN station standard and our known 
drift rate, we tracked "phase shift" LORAN.
Easier to remain locked to a net with only two stations required an 
master no longer required.
