Hi all,
I just won an HP 419A Null voltmeter on ebay. It's unusual in that it seems to be of very late construction. It has modern style grey binding posts and a screen printed (rather than engraved) front panel. The serial number prefix 0948A indicates American build at the 1972 manual revision. >From catalog photos this is 1980 or later, they were last listed in 1982 ar $1500. It has an HP label with a UK Nato Stock Number (NSN) so it may have been a special build for the UK MOD. Has anyone else got one of these late units?. It's immaculate and working perfectly and has no noticable noise even on the 3uV range. The batteries have been neatly replaced with a pair of 12V regulators with bypass capacitors. I'd been looking for one for ages but all the ones I'd seen were old and very rough, this one is a joy to use. The ebay listing is 310361653607 and has photo's. A steal at under $100 including shipping.

Robert G8RPI.
