The pinouts of the two units aren't quite identical, but are pretty
similar and it's possible to retrofit the 10811A as you suggest.  I
don't have the details at the top of my head, but if I recall correctly,
the only difference is in the way the power voltages route into the can;
what's combined on a single pin in one version goes to separate pins in
the other.
