For those of you with young children...

I got my 7-year-old son an introductory kit of "Snap Circuits."  If you haven't seen them, try googling it.  We got ours from Edmund Scientific.  

They're great.  My 7-year-old has gotten excited about basic circuits and has a better understanding of basic components than I did at that age.
