[time-nuts] Datum 9390 - Y2K update?

The model that was being offered on EBay was the "older" model - the one
with the single line display and the keyboard on the left.
From everything I've read, (thanks to the many experts here on the
forum) I became more and more convinced that this old-9390 would not work
(shall I say, would not work for what I wanted to do) -- luckily the EBay
seller agreed to cancel the sale without any penalty whatsoever. She was
convinced that the unit was unusable and, much to point out that there is
at least one honest person in the world, even posted such speculation in
the Ebay ad - a crucial line that I had missed.

I talked to her to say a very much appreciated Thank You, she said that she
was using the 9390 as a step stool (!) anyway.

Good luck on your pursuits. If anyone knows of a usable 9390, I'd be
interested on a pointer...

Thanks
