Has anyone been following the recently issued IEEE 1588 Precise Time
Protocol (PTP) standard?

I'm thinking of several research angles to this for my work at H-P Labs.
Maybe I can find a reason for H-P to buy me some toys^H^H^H^Hinstruments to
feed my time&freq metrology habit.  :-)
