Hi Neville,
The HP 5090A was made before the change from 200kHz to 198kHz by Radio
4. Unfortunately they are not easily changed to suit the new frequency
(Lumped LC tuned circuits, 200kHz crystal and discrete divider). As far
as I know this was a UK only product, hence the scarcity of information.
I've only ever seen one!
R4 is still going but has moved from Droitwich. B.T.W I've just listed a
quartzlock 2A 198kHz locked standard on eBay item No. 260104635410

I have a HP 5090A fixed frequency receiver which I believe was made  
to recover
precision frequency signals from Droitwich radio station.
I can not find any technical information on this receiver, can anyone  
tell me
is Droitwich still active as a stable frequency reference, and where  
can I find a manual for the receiver?
