David,

Any active antenna with about 25 dB of gain will work. If you are in a 
difficult multipath location, one of the better base-station antennas 
will work better. I live out in the country, and I have successfully 
used mobile mag-mount patch antennas on a small ground plane with the 
t'bolts. The little patch antennas are dirt cheap and will at least get 
you started.
