[time-nuts] Heathkit GC-1000

I'll second that.  I built mine when they first came out and it's still 
going strong.  Come to think
of it, pretty much all the Heathkits I build still work today.

Only thing I've done to it is replace the resistor - 5V regulator combo 
with a drop in
switching regulator. See: http://www.amug.org/~jthomas/gc1000.html

It now runs much cooler.

Don't use it for any serious timekeeping though if you have any 
alternatives.  The computer
interface (if it has one) isn't the most accurate.
