For what it is worth, I keep a couple of vintage
HP counters, sweepers and timers operational in my
shop simply because they are so, well... kuel.
Besides, the flickering of the nixie tubes impresses
the natives.  You gotta admit, an old 10 digit HP
frequency counter cycling away on its internal reference
just oozes panache....
