[time-nuts] are any time-nuts also random-nuts?

Hello All:

There are several electrical noise based random number generators, but most
were concieved in a time when there was a lot less EM pollution of the
airwaves. There are no "magic/secret" frequencies any more. I got into
time-nuttiness from an interest in Radio Astronomy, and all Radio Telescopes
must be frequency agile, and all results must be screened for possible
man-made interference.

The noise diode and associated circuit might be an elegant solution in a
vacuum, but I suspect that keeping electrical interference from biasing the
results might complicate the problem quite a lot.

Anyway, it's more interesting to watch it at work on your desk than just the
glowing LED on an electrical noise source!

Cheers,

	Keith

Hi Scott:

You can use a noise diode followed by a bias removal circuit to get true
random numbers in a much simpler way.

Have Fun,
