Section 559 of H.R. 2892 (which was signed by President Obama on October 28
and is now Public Law 111-83) terminates funding for LORAN-C after January 4,
2010, provided that both the Coast Guard and Homeland Security agree that it
is no longer needed for navigation or as a backup for GPS.
