[time-nuts] Effects of multipath and poor antennas on Thunderbolts

Here are a couple of plots of 48 hour surveys done by Thunderbolts operating in 3D fix mode.

The magellan.gif image was using an iffy antenna in a high multipath location (lots of trees) and other things above the antenna.

The bjorn.gif image was done with a decent antenna mounted in a location free of trees and other things above the antenna.  

Each hour of data is drawn in a different color (the palette repeats every 16 hours).  The small horizontal lines in the bjorn.gif plot are a result of the data being collected with TBOLTMON which writes the data using single precision numbers.

The differences in the spread of the survey data seem to be pretty much reflected in the quality of the Tbolt outputs when it is operating in standard overdetermined clock mode.  Moral of the story...  the better your antenna and location,  the better your Thunderbolt performance.
