[time-nuts] 2201A GPS

 Hi,
The multiplier is a classic analog harmonic distortion multiplier to avoid to add phase noise with a PLL.
The mixer is a two diode harmonic mixer, I suppose they use to drive it with 1/2 LO frequency due the old semiconductor thecnology available at the moment.
I have the complete manual with schematic. I have dismounted the converter board from the antenna assembly and placed it in one U rackmount box than in my time and freq rack. Th antenna input is connected via a GPS antenna splitter to a classic patch antenna on the roof.

Luciano,
The 750 may be made up by the use of a pll and then doubled to 1500.
With the information I see they never went into any detail about the converter.
Just maybe you have those details.
Regards
