[time-nuts] What are these towers?

I know it's kind of a tangent, but when people were talking about phones & radio broadcasting the time.. It just happened to be the
same time I was browsing around Google Earth.

Also many people on this list are HAMs...

But also any question that gets posted on this list seems to have pretty fascinating answers. Sure someone could have just said it's
an AM radio station and be done with it. But instead people post cool bits of knowledge about AM broadcasting, links to AM sources,
discussions about directional broadcasting and such.

On a tangent of the tanget, I've noticed that Google Earth is starting to update more frequently for Houston. Previously the images
would be a year old before they got put up. Now the latest set was only three months! With updates like that they are going to put
some hurt on the commercial services. Now if only I could find a SHP to KML converter that actually worked, I so hate ArcGIS...
