[time-nuts] FE-5680A Rb lamp subject to wearout?

I'm going to have to buy one of these, can't resist the price.    But
am I missing something?  Why is he including a "free"  63.8976Mhz
OXCO?  I don't see why might need one.    I can understand the DB9
connector.
