Observations:

1.  Envy, envy, envy.

2.  With the 7 cesium clocks you still don’t know which one(s) is/are exactly correct although it may be many decimal places to the right.

2.  With the fact that the universe is expanding the decision of the period of the second can only be arbitrary no matter what star system is used.

3.  Which leads us to the logical conclusion from the song by the group musical group Chicago: Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

4.  And the sound of one hand clapping.

But it is that enjoyment of the chase, the joy of learning (which I’ve personally acquired a great deal of from this list) and the joy of achieving increasingly better personal results that keeps us striving for getting ever closer to an impossible-to-obtain exactness. :).
