Pete
I have obtain HP gear that someone snitched the power supply or regulator
boards from. Since I ultimately will use the gear for myself and not
re-sell it. I re-fabricate the functions with modern technology. 3 term adj
regs etc. What can I say it works and is reliable. Is it perfect really do
not know nor care. This also means that I may at times need to run some
wires from point a to b to adapt the systems in.
For me its about obtaining what ever that particular functionality may be.
On a different note if its simply a bad part on a board I do attempt to use
the same part.
Regards
Paul.
