[time-nuts] Sulzer 5A & 5P PSU/battery question

Hi Magnus;
I know I am stating the obvious but the batteries with no external power provides by far the lowest noise. And if that is desired NiMh have a much better discharge characteristic then NiCd. But there is something to be said for maintaining the oscillator in factory original condition. I would test it and if it has really outstanding performance I would upgrade the batteries and supply. If not spectacular I would restore to factory original. They are an art object.
