The input voltage for the NTBW goes though a reverse polarity protection diode into an isolating DC-DC converter.  It should work from any voltage between 24 and 48V (probably even a wider range).  The input supply can be either polarity as long as you hook it up right since the DC-DC input and outputs are isolated.
