[time-nuts] Setting Windows XP clock.

What did Microsoft actually do?  Possibly Windows XP was set by default to
use some time servers at Microsoft and those servers were shut down.  If so
all you need to do is change the configuration file to use public "Pool"
servers.

But is this what happened?  Did Microsoft actually have NTP servers that
were specific to XP?  That seems really odd if they did.

I'm also pretty sure the XP uses "SNTP" for "Simple NTP".  You could
convert to "NTP" and have a more accurate clock.    NTP continuously
adjusts your clock where as SNTP simply sets it once.

The source of all things to do with NTP is http://www.ntp.org Notice there
is a "download" link that takes you to the standard distribution and also
to builds of the standard by third parties.  Some of these builds are for
Windows.

But as I said above if al they did was take a server off line, just use a
public one.  Or better, three to five public servers.
