Thanks.
The nice feature of the newer chipsets, such as u-Blox,  is the support for multiple GNSS constellations (USA GPS/NAVSTAR, Japan QNSS, Russian GLONASS, Chinese BeiDou/COMPASS, EU Galileo, India's IRNSS) and newer features.

Definitely an substantial expansion -- not expected 25 years ago.
