I have some 12" deep rack mount project boxes (mostly) free for the
asking. These are cleverly disguised as Cobalt RAQ 3&4 computer
servers.  Perfect for that Thunderbolt project or something similar.

Package includes a 2X20 character LCD (parallel interface HD44780
compatible,) front panel push buttons, Front panel LEDs, a +5 8A ,+12V
3A, -12 1/2A supply AC supply, a 3.5" hard drive bracket, and a scrap
AMD K5 motherboard PCB. May also include a door stop (3.5" IDE hard drive.)

I had traced the schematic of the front panel at one time, but I've
misplaced it. It's a pretty straightforward pass through to the LCD,
LEDs, and push buttons. There might be a decoder IC on the board, but I
don't remember one.  Connector is a 0.1" pitch 2 X ?? header.

Pickup in Southlake, TX (near DFW airport) or shipping at your expense.
I'll box it up and drop it off at my convenience - you pay for your
favorite shipping method.

First come, first served.

First unit is free, second is $5, third and above $10 each additional.
If you get one and discover you really want more pricing again starts at
free for the first unit. I have a dozen or so.  I also have some 1U rack
mount Ethernet switches. Same basic form factor but will require more
front panel work.
