In the Y2KR3 chapter 3 pt 1, Dallas Lankford describes a circuit he used for BFO stabilization.
Now if you want to be really, really, exotic - one could put a thermistor in the PTO oven and use a simple SS temerature regulator circuit.  Contact me off list if you want a ski.
