I wouldn't worry too much about spelling or versions of the element 
names, but when it comes to official documentation, just go with 
whatever is officially accepted. I myself prefer thinking in the old 
Latin (or other language) root names, like Kalium and Natrium - it's 
easier to relate to the symbols and how they evolved.
