I agree with your assessment.  

I have used them for more than 10 years:
	 astronomy (telescope control)
	 ham radio (rig control and programming)
	(more recently), Lady Heather.   

My purchases for my own (and club donations) uses are in the low double digits.  
Flawless.

Off topic, but I also enjoy how you contribute to this group.
