Hi Claudio,

I had a 5372A a while ago. This is from memory and old email. Won't guarantee accuracy!

I was given an FFT card with option 040 in ROM. So yes… a firmware option... Not an option that you could simply load or enable.

I also remember being instructed to copy down the calibration values from the 5372A and to re-load those values if changing out the FFT board... I would not want to lose calibration if I ever went back to the non-option 040 card. I kept the calibration values saved on paper and stored with my 5372A documentation.

There’s a good chance this is correct, but can’t promise… 5372A and all my documentation went to a good new home some years ago.

Anyone else have a less fuzzy memory, or better still, does anyone actually KNOW?

Best regards,
Bob

Subject: [time-nuts] HP 5372A opt. 040 FFT

Hello everybody,
I would like to equip my HP 5372A with option 040, I believe that this option is only at the FW level (my version is 2947) but unfortunately for what I have searched on the net I have not found any information about it. Do any of you have information about it?

Regards
