Thatâs right around 3X the price of a brand new passive Maser ( and
yes a passive and active Maser are very different beasts â¦.), so indeed
âA bit costlyâ. Relative to the price of that unit when it was new, not a
nutty listing price from a dealer. As with any piece of surplus, listing and
sell prices just might be a bit different from each other â¦. or not â¦
One would wonder about a whole lot of grubby details on a unit with
that sort of price tag. There are chunks of hardware in there that most
certainly do wear out in normal use. They can be replaced, but at that
price, I certainly would not expect to need to â¦.. Any bets on how
far gone the pumps are? â¦. hmmm â¦..
Yes you could call them up and ask a bunch of questions. Unless they
have a history of âten cents on the dollar works for usâ sort of deals, I
wouldnât bother â¦.. ( Yes, twenty or thirty cents might still put it in reach
for some â¦.).
