[volt-nuts] have the 7061. You let yours on for twenty four hours. I do that with, my calibrators ect but I did it once with my solartron and I allmost had, a fire. It was over 30 degrees Celcius and the meter got so hot it

Yep, I found out that metal box gets very hot. Glad to hear it is normal. I think 33 degrees in my lab and the meter standing 1 cm under a wooden shelf was not optimal. I now have it on a cooler place and I think I place a heatsink above the transformer on the outer cabinet o It can lse its heat better. The trasformer toutches the top lid and If I look at the shape it is done by cooling purpose , so a heatsink on that place will help I think. I think most labs are airconditioned and a lot cooler.
