+1.  I'll probably buy a copy anyway (not that I need it so much anymore),
but I'd like to know what has changed, what you think has improved, what
you think has been missed, etc.

The 2nd edition was fantastic, but so much of the EE world has changed I
think it would be hard to cover it as well as the precious edition did and
still retain the same flavor and utility.  I looked through the TOC a few
weeks ago and still wondered the same.  I know that in some (small, getting
smaller) circles, the original content still pertains, but on whole, the
advent of microprocessors and their respective toolchains, FPGA's and their
displacement of discreet logic, and the tremendous growth and reduction in
scale of all RF electronics in some ways obviate the previous text and I
guess I'm wondering if those things and similar developments preclude the
success of the third edition.

Then again, as well as the 2nd edition did it, I have high hopes.  It is a
classic.
