CSACs are more like $4000 - they were $1000-1500 originally, but post 
Microsemi the price has gone up (for any of a number of possible reasons)

There really aren't a lot of other devices with that performance and 
that low power. You can get close with some small OCXOs, but in terms of 
long term stability, the CSAC beats them, especially in terms of 
"frequency accuracy, 60 seconds after applying power"
